Catarina Silva Fernandes

Research Fellow, M.Sc. in Physics

catarina.fernandes@energycrossroads.org

Although I am studying Physics I am much aware of global issues like Climate Change, Environment, Energy, Mobility and this basically translates for me as "live in a sustainable way as much as possible". I am still very young in the organization with a strong will to become more active.

I never joined an NGO so this was an opportunity for me to change from individual action and discussions with the small circle of people surrounding me to something bigger than me along with others with more experience on the field. An important factor was also the view I share with EC: that by educating people and giving them the appropriate tools then something can actually happen.

Catarina is taking part in the Stove project, Innovation Camp and are part of the team that are trying to establish an Energy Crossroads chapter in Brazil.
