By focusing on youth leadership, sustainability, education and diversity Energy Crossroads Denmark acts to accelerate global transition to the cleaner, prosperous and safer energy future.

We create and run small and large projects and initiatives, with the overall objectives to raise awareness, build both knowledge and social entrepreneurial capacity in student and young professionals' communities locally in Denmark and abroad.

We have a number of successes that fuel our motivation: e.g. two large European-scale student conferences on sustainable energy and climate solutions "Our Opportunity" and "Rethink our Future".

We have also participated in the COP15 conference, created an educational tool "Changing the Game" that not only teaches but also enables an informed dialog among participants to discuss burning issues in Energy planning, and have been actively involved in sustainable cooking stove technology transfer to emerging countries, e.g. Uganda, Kenya and Nepal. We are currently running several new projects and planning further initiatives.

Our project “Changing the Game” has been a success from the start. We keep on expanding it, improving it, and are soon launching a new website to share our in-game, facilitation and Change Cards material to all interested.

We are based in Copenhagen, where in partnership with another local initiative, we’ve been also working on urban innovation project to create greener solutions for the everyday life of our wonderful city.

We’re not only operating in Denmark, but are part of a larger international Energy Crossroads network, who we collaborate with on projects that take place overseas.

Energy Crossroads Denmark is a fun and dynamic platform for inspiring, empowering and nurturing ideas of youth. It provides them with tools and motivation to form and run projects that address challenges in the areas of sustainable energy development, energy-efficiency, community building and education.

Energy Crossroads Denmark gives an opportunity to work with a group of energetic and talented young people, who share values, interests and complement each other in diverse backgrounds and views. Energy Crossroads Denmark provides skills to our members in a vast array of areas, e.g. project management, leadership, facilitation, public speaking, and most of the disciples one could find in an organization that runs projects: marketing, accounting, communication… You chose what skills you want to develop and chances are you will find it at Energy Crossroads Denmark.
