Showcase 2009
The culmination of the number of smaller scaled showcases starting in Spring 2008 will be a major showcase taking place simultaneously with the UN climate summit. This event will be held at Danish Technical University and will bring together topics from all the smaller events. It will demonstrate many of the emerging technologies that will become part of the energy future and show the ongoing research to tweak the performance of existing technologies – both on a detailed and more overall level. DTU projects will not be the only ones displayed. EC members at other universities, for example at the Faculty of LIFE Sciences at Copenhagen University, will also be showing relevant projects.
It is essential to the success of the showcase that it is highly graphical and therefore the solutions will mainly be shown in action. This is possible at DTU for many of things but some of the solutions are large scale e.g.; wind turbines, bioethanol plants, flue gas cleaning systems, energy neutral buildings and so forth and excursions to their sites will be arranged during the showcase.
The technical displays will be filmed and broadcasted through www.energycrossroads.org while students and other stakeholders are getting hands-on experience in developing and using the technologies.
The signing of the final manifest, which has been evolving since the EC-conference, will officially mark the end of this showcase.
