LCA your life
Life Cycle Assessment is maturing as a science and trustworthy information can now be given about the energy impact of the behavior of individuals. The subject is very interdisciplinary but EC members will extract the technical knowledge available at DTU to establish the algorithms that will form the basis of a web-based “LCA your life” application.
Using this webpage people would enter information about their daily life and get advice on how to limit their carbon-footprint. They would have the options of choosing a “zero cost”-advice or choose how much they will allow the algorithms to spend on their behalf in order to reduce the carbon footprint. When operational, and if people allow their information to be stored, the system would, for example, be able link people with equivalent transport needs, so that they could arrange for car pooling and the like.
